Hi! My name is Libby. I was dumped at a high kill shelter in Alabama. I was all alone, very scared and very pregnant. I hid in a corner because the noise was so loud in there and I feared for my unborn babies and myself. I received no attention which made the long days even worse. Even though I'm only 5,  I am not a young pup so I knew with every passing day my time to be dragged into that awful kill room was getting closer. A wonderful Rescue in Alabama saw me and knew I needed out and fast. They pull dogs from the shelter and network to find a rescue that can help. The problem was, I was pregnant and heartworm positive, not a good combination for a girl in my situation, but the ladies in Alabama weren't giving up on me. They sent out a plea to a bunch of rescues to take me and help see me through my pregnancy and HW treatment. A Second Chance stepped right up to take me, even though they knew my HW treatment would be costly. If it wasn't for those 3 ladies and ASC I wouldn't be here today, my puppies and I would have been Euthanized. I'm asking that you please consider helping ASC with my costly heartworm treatment. They didn't hesitate to save me but they need your help too! I will start my treatment as soon as my babies are weaned.
