Hyacinth

Hello to everyone at the Rescue! We adopted Hyacinth (now known as Diamond) back in March and wanted to give you an update. We feel it's important to show that the "mommies" (adult dogs) can make just as great of pets as the puppies can! She is such a wonderful dog and has overcome so much!! Her training is going great! She is very intelligent and learns very quickly! She loves to give kisses and is my 7 year old's "best buddy". She has fit right into our hectic lifestyle and is getting used to the other animals. She is now doing great with the horses and we are getting her accustomed to the ducks. She has been sooo great with the kids and my other dog, Denali, since the first moment we brought her home which was such a relief!! This was the first time we had adopted an adult dog (we always had our dogs from puppy-hood in the past) and Diamond has really shown us what a blessing the adoption process can be (for both animals and owners). We are soooo grateful to A Second Chance for saving Diamond's life (and the life of her puppies)!!! If Peter or Don can "dig up" any prior pictures of Diamond (with or without her puppies), we would appreciate if you could e-mail them to us as we would love to see them.
