Welcome to A Second Chance

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Pumpkin

Hi Kathy, Pumpkin now goes by Tabs. He’s adorable, healthy, playful and loving. The scratching, biting and destruction are more than I have experienced with my previous two kitties, but we are working on behavior, providing teething toys and chews, and doing additional kitty proofing. The “Tabs anecdotes” are mounting. One of my favorites to date: I heard an unfamiliar sound, looked around and found Tabs springing off the dining room table smacking the chandelier. I had to remove that fun toy from him by wrapping it tightly in a plastic bag! I just have to say that Jan Carlson who arranged our adoption is a very kindhearted individual who is to be commended for her efforts to save our fuzzy babies; also thank you to you and all of your wonderful volunteers. After many blurry pics, we finally managed to get this one .
