As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. June 2012 update:

Hi! It was nice to hear from you. I sent some new pictures of Rocky from our summer vacation in Maine. He had a blast running around up there. We just celebrated his 2nd birthday in April. He is the most precious dog and has such a fun, happy personality. I am so happy he is part of my family. The love of an animal is such an amazing gift.

Thank you for checking up on Zappa (Rocky). He is doing great and has brought so much joy to our family! I just love him and feel like he has always been a part of the family! I can't believe how much he has grown in just a few short weeks, but he is cute as ever and so well behaved! He seems to love the attention too, people are always stopping to fuss over him when we take him for walks... he is so friendly with children... and he had his first beach adventure the other night! He was a little afraid of the water, but sure did love rolling around in the sand!!! I have attached a few pictures of him from his first few days at home.. he has gotten a lot bigger since then, but these are the only pictures I have uploaded on this computer right now.
