Welcome to A Second Chance

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Mickey

Hi Kathy,
Thank you so much for following up about Mickey. Mickey is doing great and we feel so blessed to have him as part of our family. He now weighs 17 pounds and is growing quickly. He is a very happy and energetic puppy (he also get alot of attention as the kids are home for the summer with him). I had sent Shelley some pictures of his first week at home and will be following up soon with some new ones which I will also send to you. He has been going to the vet and getting all his shots. He did develop a case of "puppy mange" which the vet tells us is probably genetic and is being treated for it. We have also enrolled him in puppy classes at Petsmart which truly is alot of fun for our entire family.
