Welcome to A Second Chance

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Pacman

Hello Kathy, Nice to hear from you. Pacman is now Cooper and he is doing very well. He is very active. It's like having a new baby in the house. He's brought a lot of love and excitement to our home. He is progressing very well. When we got him about a month ago or so he was about 17 pounds. I just took him to the vet on the 16th and he is 25 pounds. He is growing and doing well. He has what the vet described as "puppy mange" so he was prescribed a special shampoo to help, but the vet says that it's related to a puppy's immune system being a bit weak. He should outgrow it.
