Welcome to A Second Chance

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Where to begin? Well Kathy I went to Petco to see two other pups. Upon arriving I saw that even at two months they were too big for what I was looking for. As I was leaving another group of pups came in. For some reason Tessa caught my eye. From the moment I held her and got a lick I was done and knew she was the one. I took her home and gave her to the family on Christmas eve. Mostly for my son but also for the family. He was ecstatic. So was my wife and most importantly my mom :). She was concerned I may have gotten an aggressive breed. From the first few days we knew she would fit in perfect in our family. And from day one she was just that, another child to me.
