Welcome to A Second Chance

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Winkle

Dear Kathy, Thanks so much for asking about Winkle. He was a huge hit on Christmas Eve as a present for my sons! They were crazy about him right away! His new name is Tank (my boys gave him two other names before settling on Tank). We are all so happy with Tank and he is very happy here too! He loves our 9 year old German Shepherd Charlie--it took some time but now Charlie loves tank too (well maybe "love" is a little strong, but he definitely "likes" Tank)! I am so excited because today for the first time, he barked to go outside, I think he gets the bathroom thing now! He really is a funny dog too, we laugh a lot! I would like to thank everyone who took such good care of Winkle/Tank before he came to us! He is a very healthy, happy and well adjusted puppy because of your wonderful organization.
