Welcome to A Second Chance

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Hi there!

I just wanted to put a success story up about the puppy we adopted seven months ago after seeing some of the success stories of his litter mates.

Heshy, renamed Bear, is doing great! He loves going to the park, chasing lizards, basking in the sun, digging/getting muddy, going for long walks, and playing in the park. He is such a smart dog. Although, he does not like going into the water much, last week he went for his first swim with his girlfriend Bella, who is a 9 month old goldendoodle. He is very vocal and makes his needs known - he likes to cuddle and give lots of kisses!

He is such a blessing. We love him so much. He just turned 9 months old last week and he already weighs 50 pounds!
