Welcome to A Second Chance

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Qutie Patutie

Hi, We changed her name to Callie (no one could spell Quite Patutie right lol). Callie is doing better. When she first came home, she found every possible hiding place in our house and didn't want to socialize. I bought a large "kittie condo" for the living room so she would feel comfortable and she comes and goes from the condo whenever she wants to. She no longer runs away when she sees us coming and we can pet her and hold her for short periods of time. She gets along well with the other animals in house however and seems to feel "protected" by our dogs - go figure. But we do love her and as time goes by, I'm sure she will be more and more comfortable in her surroundings.
