Welcome to A Second Chance

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek! Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes. We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families. Crimson

Kathy, I am writing this as a follow up on Crimson (now Vespa). She is doing great! She is one of the sweetest dogs I have ever known. She is great with other dogs and cats and she is great with kids. Her temperament is so good that we decided to begin training her to be a service dog for those with PTSD. She is learning basic obedience very quickly and she loves exploring the world unrestricted as a service dog. When she is not in training she is snuggling with us. She just loves to sleep and snuggle. We also get her out quite a bit to run in the park... being a Italian Greyhound mix, that girl can move! So thank you for saving her life!
