Animal Success Stories

As an all volunteer foster-based rescue group, successful adoption stories are the only compensation we seek!  Our Foster Caretakers, who spend weeks or months loving the animals in their care, always want to know how their “babies” are doing once they have found their forever homes.  We hope that the adoption of a pet is not the end of a process but the beginning of a relationship between A Second Chance Puppies and Kittens Rescue and our adoptive families.  If you’ve adopted a dog or cat from us, please share your story!  Success Stories and pictures can be sent to adoptions@asecondchancerescue.org.

Buddha

This is Chance (formerly Buddha) and as you can see he has adjusted very well and is totally spoiled. We changed his name to Chance so that everyone he meets will know where he came from and remember to give all A Second Chance!

Sally

Brownie

She is an absolute doll.  We chose Gracie as her name, and she seems to like it because she is responding well to it, even after just a couple of days.

All our pets even the cats are adjusting well.

Meko, our dog, plays with her and seems to like having her around.  He is sharing well with her.

Thank you for helping find her a good home.  We are all very happy.  I am attaching a pic of Gracie and her Gram, my Mom :-)

Boulder

OMG I can't thank you enough! We got there a little late - we stopped for ice cream and got turned around, but Ruth was outside waiting patiently for us. We LOVE Boulder, who we renamed BARNEY. He was so good in the car ride home. We brought our girls out one by one to meet him and only the Chihuahua had a barking problem.

Now they are calmed down - laying and watching TV and Barney is just fine. He romped a little in the back yard, drank a little outta the pool but all in all he is finding his way around.

You can see the pics I posted on Facebook and if you ever come this way you can stop in and say hello.

Thanks Lisa! We are truly a big happy family once again!!

Bentley

Hello Lisa,

Hope all is well. We are so in love with Bentley!!! He is such a sweetie, and sometimes such a brat, but he gives us so much love and joy.

Blossom

Hi, just dropping you a line to let you know that Blossom (now Asha) is doing great. We adopted her from you at Bedners Farms last March.

We got her a Dog-E-Glow collar. It is an LED lighted collar – she has a matching leash also. It is great for walking her when it is dark out, cars can see you and it feels much safer. These are also good when you let your dog out in the yard when it is dark – you can always see where she is.

She keeps me laughing as she is always so happy and ready for anything!
